Mormons oppose ballot effort for medical cannabis legalization in Utah
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released a statement expressing its opposition to a ballot effort when it comes to legalization of medical cannabis into the state of Utah.
The LDS Church commended the Utah Medical in its two-paragraph statement Association for opposing the effort. Nonetheless, the church failed to criticize the legalization effort explicitly.
The Salt pond City-based church said that they respect the health professionals’ wise counsel, showing they buy into the medical association’s place that medical cannabis would compromise the security in addition to healthof communities in the continuing state of Utah.
